I was born in Chicago at a very young age. For as long as I can remember, all I've wanted to do was create stuff. Most of my time was spent drawing, painting and sculpting. After an amazing high school career, I decided to waste more time in a different school. In 1998, I received my BFA from The Northern Illinois University. BFA’s are great and all, but it was hard to trade artwork for food and shelter. So, I got a fancy advertising job. I make commercials by day and paint by night. Making art is my release. Though people have described my work as nightmarish, it’s therapeutic for me. I don’t even know how I’m really feeling until I sit back and look at what has doodled out of me. My pieces have a juxtaposition between cartoony and a more refined style. There’s a push and pull between the layers and colors. And I pack as much as I can into every piece. Like an L car at rush hour. With a little less pee smell.
